Provinces and Picking your nose.............

So left Beijing after 4 days to go to the province of HUNAN......Provinces are equivalent to States in AMerica for those who did not know....Hunan is southside and it's climate is liek the A-town's.......so we took the train here, an overnight train wtih A/C.......1st time taking an overnight train.....arrived in Changsha, the cap of Hunan.......one thing I want ppl to know is ALOT of China ppl pick their nose and spit on the ground, male and female....like you see them pick, they see you see them pick, and they just dig deeper.......nice......went to LIUYANG afterwards, which is the FIREWORKS mecca of the world........if you';ve ever bought fireworks, it's prob came from Liuyang........when we arrvied in Liuyang, we were greeted by firecrackers(the CHinese New year type, not the american type that goes in the air)........afterwards I went to a wedding........I love Chinese weddings cause they are quick and to the point......basically you go in, they show the bride and groom, and then you eat, and you leave........tkaes less than 45 mins........and you don;t even have to dress up! American Weddings are dragged on too long I think.......most ppl sitting in the pews are thinking "dang, I can';t wait for this to be oevr and eat" which is true even though no one wants to admit it.........interesting info: bottled water avg. price=25 cents..........

The Motherland.............

So I've been chillin in the People's Republic for about a month now and am gonna tell you how it has been going and letting those who have never been to China a little about China, especially since this is my first time here........

6/18........Arrived in Beijing......Beijing is very polluted cause there are constant sand storms flying into the city......It definitely feels weird being around all chinamen but at least now know one will call me a ching chong(chang chang chong foooo)........so we met this guy who is in charge of some Beijing Technical Institute, kinda like the Ga. Tech of China....one thing to know is ALOT of  ppl in China do not go to college....it's very hard to get into and most ppl just end up hustlin.......in America we always think of Chinese ppl as nerds and all they do is study which in general is correct.......in China there are alot of kids who do not study........alot.....so you will see teens who are doing janitorial work and they'll probably do that for the rest of their lives........another thing , China is so freakin cheap when it comes to food......so you can get 3 pork buns(bao zi) for approx. 13 US cents.........Lai le for real.........so we went to the Frobidden City the 2nd day.......Forbidden City is a very long walk but it def makes you feel in touch with your roots......there are many pieces of history and concubines here........went to eat Beijing's world famous duck...it's very good but I've had duck which was just as good in the U.S......3rd went to the GREAT WALL......very very tight.......beautiful views, beautiful scenery, pics will follow in future postings.....if you ever go see the Great Wall, choose the TOBOGGAN option, which allows you to do a toboggan run from the middle of the wall.......these were my days in Beijing, the next posting will let you in on Hunan.....interesting info: bottled water found for 10 cents, I climbed the Great Wall t-short purchased for $1.25, oh, and it's AGREENLUV's b-day today............

The Great Wall of America.............

Lately there has been alot of controversy about illegals........all i could think was why not build a Great Wall around the states that border Mexico? That's what the chinaman did to keep the Mongols from coming in......and it would take alot less time than two centuries to build.......but on a more serious note, I can see why people take either side on the issue........all these ppl are hating on Latinos but in a way the hater's ancestors did the same thing many illegals are doing now........."pilgrims" coming into America and killing off the Native American Indians, and then claiming USA as theirs and then have the audactiy to make up laws to moderate how many immigrants come into the country each year......at least the current wave of I.I.'s(short for illegal immigrants) aren't killing all the white ppl and claiming this country as theirs.....well some are waving Mexican flgs, maybe hoping USA will become like Mexico?..........

and on a random note, was watching GPB and Barbara Walters was interviewing Jane Fonda the other day and all I could think was , dang Jane Fonda looks really good.........

Minority(excluding Hispanics, Native Americans, and African-American) -owned restraunts, take note............

Today I went to a Philly Cheesesteak and the first thing I could think of before I went inside was "I hope it's not owned by an Indian".......now, why would I think such a thought? do I dislike Indians? On the contrary, I am enamored with their food and culture and think they are wonderful people and am cool with alot of desis..............but the reason the thought came into my head was because I have been a victim of the Reduced Product Increased Profit campaign.........Now, what does this campaign stand for? Very simple............Reduced product(in this case like almost no steak in my Philly Cheesestak but ALOT of bread for some reason........I wonder why) which leads to increased profit for the owners.........now I realize that yes owners are trying to make a living, but still, if you want to increase business flow it's all about customer service man.........you don't need to cheap out to eke a living.......ppl will notice........or like I would like to say, "You can't do this like you would be doing it in the motherland"..........motherland being where you came from.........and alot of Far East Asians are at fault here also.........you can just tell when you enter the restraunt they just want your $$$ and then get the he)# out!...........for example, PHO HOA next to Asian Square..........sorriest customer service out of all the Pho Noodle shops.........the place is empty right? and yet no one ever asks you if you ever need more water.........heck yeah I need more water, the soup is freakin salty man..................now obviously not all minority owned businesses operate under this type of thought..........but just saying how alot do...........which is why Wes and I LOVE black owned restraunts..........they never skimp.........you're always full...........try a soul-food restraunt for once, and you'll see what I mean..........or better yet, there was a Philly Cheesesteak off MEMORIAL DRIVE owned by black ppl and there wsa so much meat on teh sandwich you could barely see the bread..........now that's what I'm talking about............

Absolute vs. Relative Draft Picks..........

In Economics, there are the terms absolute and relative advantage..........Absolute advantage basically means it has the advantantage no matter what...........Relative advantage means it could have the advantage depending on the situation..........for example, let's say VIC can mow the lawn in 1 hour while it takes JACK 2 hours..........let's say VIC can paint his house in 1 hour and JACK can paint his has in 4 hours........so as you see, VIC can do both assignments better than Jack.........absolute advantage........now, let's say the lawn needs to be mowed and the house needs to be painted..........then VIC would paint the house and JACK would have the relative advantage when it comes to painting...............with that said..........there are some Draft Picks out there that just smoke the competition........I mean from an absolute standpoint they are prettier, smarter, nicer, funnier, etc., etc.........but not everyone should be with an absolute Draft pick..........alot of times what they need is a Relative Draft Pick.........a pick who is good for them, matches well with them, etc...........

and on pursuing...........I am definitely against the old-school notion of guys having to pursue like crazy to get the girl..........first of all I find it degrading...........second of all, with all that chasing you better just ACCEPT THE FACT that once the relationship does start, you will always, always have less "power" in the relationship than her..........instead of the pursuing model of getting a girl, I believe firmly in the free-flow model of getting someone to like you.........The underlying principle of free-flow model is to let things flow freely........being yourself, don't worry so much about impressing or depressing, and have fun while doing so.......

survey of the day: Do you think President George W. Bush or President Charles Logan(from 24) is the better President?
